Camera Imago 1:1. Interview mit Susanna Kraus

In contrast to the possibilities of new media, the largest analog camera in the world, Camera Imago 1:1 (1972 – 2007), provides neither the possibility for reproduction nor for image processing: When entering Camera Imago 1:1 the visitor becomes part of the mobile spatial installation. Its lateral mirror image can be projected onto reversible photographic paper up to a height of two meters by way of a lens developed especially for 1:1 photography. In this way, the portraits of numerous colleagues were produced for the exhibition ZKM1:1, 28 November, 2008 – 6 January, 2009, at the ZKM_Museum Balcony.
