As part of the exhibition »respektive Peter Weibel«, an international symposium on the work of Peter Weibel took place on Saturday, September 28, 2019. The symposium took his artistic work as a starting point to discuss the central themes of media art and the museum as an institution in the age of media – such as the mechanisms of perception, the laws of thought, the world of apparatuses, the crisis of representation, the scandal of the apparatus arts from visual to biomedia, the museological change in the age of globalization and digitization, and the relationship between art, politics, and economics.
