Gero Koenig: CHORDEOGRAPH Augmented Reality

In a lecture and concert Gero Koenig presents the electroacoustic instrument »Chordeograph«. Body movements of one or multiple players are detected by 3D Scanning. By various movements of the arms and hands, the audience can navigate between different resonance constellations visualized in the score and trigger touchless analogous sound transformations. Mechanical vibrations of the individual strings are visible and audible on the instrument. At the same time, they are projected as an augmented reality layer onto the strings.
