Chordeograph AR Workshop
Fri, October 12, 2018 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm CEST
The idea of a direct interaction between artist and listener led to a new augmented reality format. Amateur Chordeograph performers experience resonating sounds triggered by moving their arms and hands. Using touchless navigation, the sound space of the instrument Chordeograph is opened up through the installation Chordeograph Augmented Reality.
The score is an interface of communication between performers and the artist, enabling rich interactive relationships. As a graphic interface, it interweaves the actions of the players and the artist. The artist communicates with the players and directs the performance by making real-time manipulations in the score and triggering different levels of difficulty.
The workshop series Chordeograph Augmented Reality was presented at ZKM | Hertz Lab in 2018.
