Description
On May 26, 2018, Wikimedia Deutschland e.V. informed about its work and its commitment to free knowledge at the ZKM.
Wikipedia authors answered questions about their work, a virtual reality application gave insights into the museum visit of the future and photo enthusiasts showed how 360-degree photography can preserve historical buildings in the digital world. The interactive exhibition area was accompanied by short lectures and a panel discussion with experts from culture and the open network world.
In an additional agenda item, Tim Moritz Hector, Chairman of the Executive Board of Wikimedia Deutschland e.V., and Abraham Taherivand, Managing Director, gave an overview of the future of Wikipedia in their TED talk.
