On the 25th anniversary of its founding , researchers from the world over gathered at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) and its sibling institution, the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (ZKM), and over the course of several days transformed it into a Potential Space in which to gauge the manifold futures of research and education in art and design. The conference Potential Spaces (February 16–18, 2017) supplied a provisional framework for the momentary aggregation of diverse perspectives from the arts, aesthetics, media theory, philosophy, pedagogy and critical theory.
To discuss the boldest ideas, the Potential Spaces conference has assembled researchers, authors, artists and designers from the most diverse contexts.
