The name Arab Spring points to the political and cultural transformation underway in the southern Mediterranean region, an event which is being followed with great interest, hope, but also with skepticism. The exhibition Cross-border focusses on the analysis as carried out by exclusively female artists on various aspects relating to the theme of borders: on dealing with borders and their overcoming.
At the close of the exhibition, on September 8, 2013, exhibition protagonists discuss their works and various aspects of their personal relationship to limits and their overcoming. The exhibition, as well as the discussion of themes, invites one to reconsider prejudices as well as mistaken interpretations.
