Workshop by Kim André Lange in cooperation with the Bio Design Lab
How can we produce shapes and objects without having to resort to common composite materials? And how can we apply this knowledge decentralized on a basic level for everyone?
For 2.5 days, we will immerse ourselves in the world of biocomposites and learn not only about local and regional raw materials, but also produce bioplastics ourselves in order to use them to design already known or completely new objects.
Via joint zoom-lectures during the »Driving the Human Festival« on the ZKM Homepage and temporary live-interventions on Instagram we will therefore experimentally work out, test and critically question all the individual steps of the production process from raw material to the finished end product.
