As part of the discussion series »Digiloglounge Digital«, Dr. Michael Färber and Frederic Bartscherer of the KIT research group Web Science talk to Sabine Faller about media consumption and the distortion of news texts by AI.

The Internet is massively changing media consumption and increasingly influencing public opinion.
Considering the large number of news texts published every day, a manual analysis by experts is no longer possible. Our research is therefore concerned with the question on how artificial intelligence can be used to automatically identify biases in news texts and thus reveal, for example, one-sided reporting on people and events.

The event is part of the #digiloglounge discussion series. Once a month, experts from digilog@bw will give an insight into their digital research topics and answer questions in the video livestream!
