art_im_puls
School project for the artistic exploration of current exhibitions and museums – theoretical and practical.
The project »art_im_puls«, sponsored by the Cultural Office of the City of Karlsruhe, was carried out two years in a row as a cooperation project with the Max-Planck-Gymnasium Karlsruhe/Rüppurr over one school semester.
The project focused on exploring current exhibitions at various art institutions and creatively responding to what is perceived. A variety of artistic and media means were tried out, which found no place in school art classes. In addition to the regular meetings at the ZKM, excursions to other current exhibitions with a contemporary orientation were part of »art_im_puls«.
The aim was to promote and critically sensitize people to impulses from art and to experiment creatively with unusual artistic strategies. Due to the dialogue character and the open orientation of the project towards the interests of the participants themselves, the first approaches to media art, art theory and media philosophy were opened – at the end of the project, the resulting (media) works of art were presented in an exhibition.
