Alessandra Burotto Tarky

Alessandra Burotto Tarky, born in Santiago de Chile in 1967, is a curator, researcher, journalist, editor and cultural manager. She trained as a journalist at the University of Chile, where she also earned a degree in cultural criticism and later taught sociology of communication. She works as a curator at MAC - Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Santiago, where she coordinates the area MediaMAC/Anilla and more recently produces the podcast »Irrupciones en el MAC«. Founded by Alessandra in 2010, MediaMAC/Anilla is dedicated to the promotion, dissemination and curatorial research of media art and the intersection of art, science, technology, nature and society.
