On the evening of September 17, the results of the project »Experiments in Arts and Economics« will be presented and discussed at the ZKM, emerging from a two-day conference organised by In4Art and the ZKM.
Considering that systemic change is inevitable, the ZKM and the art-oriented, responsible innovation organisation In4Art Rotterdam have joined forces to launch an experimental programme for future-oriented artists and respected economists. Their intention is to bring together the different disciplines of art and economics to give them a chance to dialogue with each other and draw attention to questions that we as a society will soon need to answer in order to live together sustainably: How does a society become more distributive and regenerative? What can we do to respect ecological limits? How should our values change and how will new types of businesses based on new forms of cooperation become possible? How can we reshape our economic mindset to create space for new ideas?
A curator from the ZKM, the founders of In4Art and a small, diverse group of economic and artistic thinkers will work during a two-day conference to develop new collaborative ideas and concepts at the interface of art and business. The concepts for new entrepreneurial proposals for the twenty-first century that emerge will be presented on 17 September.
