Ladislav Sutnar Prize
Award ceremony will take place in Pilsen on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe is a laureate of this year’s Ladislav Sutnar Prize, awarded by the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (CZ).
The Ladislav Sutnar Prize is represented to living Czech and foreign artists for exceptional achievements in the field of visual arts, in particular applied art and design, and also for pedagogical work. The award can also be given to institutions whose programs and activities support modern art and design.
The ZKM will receive the prize for its research activities, projects and education in the field of media art.
The prize has been awarded since October 2012 and has since been given to a number of outstanding personalities and important institutions, including Stefan Sagmeister (AT), Neville Brody (UK), Milton Glaser (USA), Richard Saul Wurman (USA), Steven Heller (USA), Anthon Beeke (NL), the J. P. Getty Trust in Los Angeles, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Ars Electronica in Linz, the Taiwan Design Center in Taipeh or the Pratt Institute in New York.
This year’s award ceremony will take place in Pilsen on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
