Helena Schmidt

Helena Schmidt is a university assistant (post-doc) at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She also holds a lectureship at the Bern University of the Arts. Her dissertation, »From the poor image to the poor images«, supervised by Elke Krasny, was awarded the »Award of Excellence« State Prize for the best dissertations in 2023 by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and the 2022/23  as well as with the Award of Appreciation for Scientific Work by the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. helenaschmidt.com
