Which aspects of AI are currently relevant to art – and where is it already touching everyday art life?

Alistair Hudson speaks from an institutional perspective and shows how AI has already arrived in exhibition operations, curatorial processes and artistic practice. Kerstin Gold will supplement this with insights from the market and consulting practice: between scepticism on the part of galleries, technological solutions without clear use cases, and changing expectations on the part of collectors. The panel does not aim to provide answers, but rather to raise awareness: AI is not an abstract topic for the future, but is beginning to have a concrete impact on everyday art life. The aim is to provide initial guidance and create a basic understanding of why it makes sense to address these developments at an early stage.

The panel is intended as a kick-off event for the LVBG conference, which will take place in Berlin on February 23, 2026.

Speakers: Alistair Hudson and Kerstin Gold

Moderation: Johanna Neuschäffer, Gallery Office impart
