Biography

Claudia Robles-Angel is a composer, sound and new media artist born in Colombia and living in Germany. Her work covers different aspects of visual and sound art, extending from acousmatic and audiovisual compositions to interactive performances and installations using biomedical signals.

She has been artist-in-residence in institutions around the globe. In 2004, she was awarded the second prize at »Hören und Sehen« by the ZKM | Karlsruhe and the Institut für Neue Musik Darmstadt.

Her work is continuously performed and exhibited worldwide, for example at ISEA, ICMC, New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, NIME, ZKM | Karlsruhe, Museo Arte Contemporáneo in Bogotá, Harvestworks Digital Arts Center in New York, Heroines of Sound in Berlin, Athens Digital Art Festival, Beast FEaST in Birmingham, ICST ZHdK in Zurich, or RE:SOUND in Aalborg. Most recently, she had appearances at the Electric Spring Festival in Huddersfield, the KI Biennale in Essen and the Centre for International Light Art in Unna.
