Biography

After studying geology and palaeontology at the University of Bonn, Eduard Harms received his doctorate at the GEOMAR Research Center Kiel in 1998 with a scientific work on the eruption of the Laacher See volcano (East Eifel Volcanic Field). From 1999-2001 he worked as part of the exhibition and public relations work in the Vulkanpark Osteifel, before completing a scientific traineeship at the Museum of Natural History in Reutlingen from 2001-2003. Since 2004 he has been working at the State Museum of Natural History Karlsruhe, where he is head of the Education and Mediation Department.
