Elke Scheer
Biography
Prof. Dr. Elke Scheer is Professor for experimental physics at the University of Constance. She studied physics at the University of Karlsruhe, where she received her PhD in 1995. From 1990 to 1996 she was scientific assistant at the Institute of Physics at the University of Karlsruhe, participated from 1996 to 1997 at a research project of the Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique (CEA) in Saclay, France. Until 2000 she worked again as scientific assistant the Institute of Physics at the University of Karlsruhe. In march 2000 she was offered the chair for experimental physics at the University of Constance 1999 she was awarded the Gustav-Hertz-Preis of the German Physical Society, in October 2000 she received the Alfried-Krupp-Ward for young professors.
