Biography

Ivan Henriques is a transdisciplinary artist, developer, and researcher working in multimedia installations. He explores hybrids of living and nonliving systems creating novel approaches to investigate endangered and inhospitable ecosystems. Throughout his works he develops ways to enhance the communication between humans, other living organisms, and the environment. Henriques is the founder and coordinator of the interdisciplinary research group Hybrid Forms Lab, which is a network of engineers and scientists from all over the globe since 2008. His works are part of relevant art collections and exhibited internationally, participating in festivals, residencies, and talks.
