Laura Benetschik
Biography
Laura Benetschik is a music enthusiast, collector, and curator at Al Forno, as well as an artistic practitioner. As co-curator, she seeks to co-develop critical spaces that challenge traditional boundaries and offer critical perspectives on the evolving relationship between culture, technology, and artistic expression.
Since October 2024 she is a scientific trainee at ZKM | Hertzlab. With a background in Theater, Educational, and Cultural Sciences from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and Leuphana University Lüneburg, she brings over 10 years of experience as a cultural collaborator and producer. Her work as a sound artist and DJ explores the intersections of digital and analog art forms, driven by a commitment to institutional critique, the pluralization of methods, and Critical Whiteness. Laura’s practice bridges the gap between artistic exploration and academic research, pushing the boundaries of sound, technology, and cultural reflection.
