SPEAP

The study program »Programme d'Expérimentation en Arts et Politique« founded by Bruno Latour and Valérie Pihet in 2010 at the Sciences Po combines the arts and the social sciences, in equal measure. SPEAP seeks to be a laboratory for scientific, artistic, and pedagogical experimentation, in the pragmatic tradition — as exemplified by the work of William James, Walter Lippmann, and above all John Dewey. The aim is to observe, explain, and explore together ways of creating a shared public space as well as new modes of expression for political, economic, ecological and/or scientific questions, questions that are necessarily controversial.
