Thomas Hensel

Biography

Prof. Dr. Thomas Hensel studied philosophy, art history, classical archaeology and corporate management in Hamburg, Munich and Vallendar. He obtained his doctorate in art history (Aby Warburg) and was the winner of the promotional award of the senate of the free and Hanseatic city Hamburg in 2012. Since 2013, Hensel is a professor for art and design theory at the University Pforzheim. Besides he is a member of the faculty of the certified program „Visual Cometencies“ at the Donau University Krems since 2011 and director of the Institute for Human Engineering & Empathic Design Pforzheim (heedPF) since 2016.
