Maximilian Zschiesche
Biography
Maximilian Zschiesche (born 2000 in Karlsruhe) is an interdisciplinary artist. He studied Exhibition Design and Scenography at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG Karlsruhe) as a scholarship holder of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes), with minors in Media Art and Media Philosophy, as well as an exchange semester at The New School in New York in the Department of Media Studies.
His work explores the concepts of the natural and the artificial, focusing particularly on questions of perception and the relationships that arise from them. To manifest his observations and reflections, he translates them into entities with a prop-like character, which he often produces in collections/editions and presents as loosely interwoven installations, videos, or performances. Aiming for patterns of perception and relations to become playfully tangible.
