Wiebke Mueller
Biography
Wiebke Mueller works as a freelance scenographer with a focus on stage design, costume, and performance. Her artistic practice centers on storytelling through and with materials, site-specific contexts, and character. She is interested in the agency of objects as well as their symbolic charge within social contexts.
Collective forms of working are an important component of her artistic practice. Since 2017, Wiebke has been a co-founder and active member of the artists’ company Kollektiv Kubik, which initiates temporary allyship and develops interactive, socially relevant formats.
Wiebke has worked and produced, among other places, at Residenz Leipzig, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, the Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst (GfZK) Leipzig, Theater der jungen Welt Leipzig, Theater Junge Generation Dresden, Zeitraumexit, 4Bid Gallery Amsterdam, Politik in Freien Theater Leipzig, Staatstheater Karlsruhe, or the Chimaera Festival.
