School Classes

The Museum communication designs a varied program for school classes, which is adapted to the curricula and individually to the class level, age and type of school.

The offer ranges from guided tours and action guided tours through current exhibitions to workshops dealing with individual exhibition content and working with a wide variety of artistic media.

We have expanded our school class program to include online offers, which can be booked for a small group or a whole class together with its teacher.

If you are in possession of a school year pass, you do not have to pay admission.

The Action Tours vary depending on the exhibition and take place directly in front of the works of art. Here, the students can be creative themselves, thereby enabling playful individual access to the works. Be surprised by our art teachers or decide yourself for one of the formats listed below.

To the action tours

The topics of the workshops are based on the current ZKM exhibitions and on thematically selected contents of the school curricula. Inspired by a visit of the exhibition, the students put their impressions into practice in the museum studio using various artistic media. Individual focuses can be set by arrangement. School groups are instructed according to class level and school type.

Teachers can choose an online workshop with their class on our website and register at workshop@zkm.de. We will inform you about the digital requirements for the workshop and what analogue materials are needed. Before the workshop you will receive a link to the video conference. We use providers that comply with data protection regulations for schools. Whether the participants take part in the workshop from home or from the classroom remains a decision of the school.
