Gašper Kunšič
Biography
Gašper Kunšič (*1992, SI) lives and works in Frankfurt am Main, DE. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, AT, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, and the Städelschule in Frankfurt. His artistic practice combines elements of folk traditions and popular culture from the former Yugoslavia and the Balkan diaspora. Through spatial interventions, sculptures, and paintings, Kunšič reimagines folklore and explores themes of belonging, identity and cultural memory.
