Ryoichi Kurokawa

Ryoichi Kurokawa (*1978, Osaka, JP) lives and works in Berlin. He is an audiovisual artist and composer known for immersive installations and live performances that merge sound and visuals into cohesive sensory experiences. He is particularly celebrated for his ability to draw on scientific data and natural processes, transforming mathematical models and biological rhythms into precisely synchronized abstract works. For over twenty years, he has influenced the audiovisual art scene internationally, exhibiting in more than forty countries at institutions including Tate Modern (UK), Centre Pompidou (FR), Venice Biennale (IT), and Louvre Abu Dhabi (AE). In 2010, he won the Golden Nica at Prix Ars Electronica.
