A philosophical Mittwochstreff with the Thymio robot: Together, we’ll set the little robot in motion and see how it “perceives” the world.
Through its sensors, Thymio “experiences” light, proximity, or touch – but can this be compared to our own perception? Together, we’ll explore what the robot can do, test its sensors, and dive into a discussion: What does sensory experience mean? Where are the boundaries between measuring and feeling? And do machines have something like an ability to “experience” things?
Once a month, we invite you to meet great people and brainstorm new ideas together. We’ll drink tea, chat, and try out an exciting, creative activity – without any stress or pressure. Anyone who feels like it can join in or help out the others.
Curious? Just stop by! Participation is free and no registration is required. Please let us know at the information desk in the lobby, where you’ll receive a wristband for free admission.
