Cellist Michael Bach was heavily influenced by his collaboration with John Cage. Cage’s composition “ONE8” was completed in 1991 in collaboration with Michael Bach in New York. The premiere occurred simultaneous to the orchestra piece 108, an orchestra work for simultaneous performance conceived parallel by John Cage for Michael Bach and the Radio Symphony Orchestra of the SDR in Stuttgart in the same year.
