Perceived as encyclopaedist, multi-talent and generator of ideas: Peter Weibel, is artist, curator and scientist. Numerous writings, lectures and, no less, his art works, have made him one of the most famous and widely acknowledged media artists and theorists. The film-maker Marco Wilms accompanied Weibel to his childhood home in Austria, followed him to Paris, to Rome, Vienna and finally, to his current place of activity, the ZKM Karlsruhe. Some of Weibel’s companions, among them Bazon Brock, Boris Groys, Bruno Latour, Olafur Eliasson and Peter Sloterdijk, also give voice to their perception of the this all-rounder.
