Economy and Non-profit Organizations as Partners. Marketplace for Good Business 2014
Tue, May 27, 2014 5 pm CEST, Reception

An increasing number of businesses are seeking to assume responsibility and to establish their operations in and around Karlsruhe. In order to find a suitable project, Paritätisch Karlsruhe [Karlsruhe Parity] is currently organizing a market place for a second time in collaboration with KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft [Auditing Firm] under the slogan “Economy and Non-profit Organizations as Partners − Marketplace for Good Business.”

Based on a “speed dating” format, businesses meet with non-profit organizations from the fields of society, culture and sport. Meaningful, committed relations are forged in personal exchanges between these two types of entity Within a 90 minute period, deals and agreements are made or contacts exchanged. The “Marketplace for Good Business” does not involve donations – money transactions are not permitted. Here, objectives involve donations of expertise, specialist knowledge or teamwork among employees.

The objective is to establish a “win-win situation” for all parties whereby the business in question demonstrates its social commitment whereby, thanks to new resources, the association is then in a position to implement good projects which would have otherwise been unable to materialize. At the end of the event, new partnerships will have been established along with good deeds and considerable civil involvement.

Mayor of Karlsruhe, Dr. Frank Mentrup, has assumed patronage of the event.
