Experience a night full of art and culture with the 17^th KAMUNA – a fascinating and comprehensive GLOBALE program awaits you at the ZKM.
 
Have you ever stood in a cloud or even walked through one? Transsolar + Tetsuo Kondo generate an artificial cloud in the ZKM | atria: Join the »Cloud Walks« led by experts – or create thought clouds! With »Beam On«, the highpoint will be a changed new edition of »Bring you own Beamer«, video projections on and around the cloud. In HA Schult’s project »Action Blue« in the ZKM_Sub space, everything turns on the subject of water.
 
Take a seat at the festive table in the ZKM_Foyer, which cordially invites you to celebrate and to dinner: in addition to a range of delicacies the restaurant also offers the GLOBALE tart produced by the confectioners Endle. The program item »Rituals – Signs of Celebration« in the ZKM_Media Lounge explores the cultural historical roots of celebration. »We also Recite and Congratulate« in the library with an interactive art action to mark the Karlsruhe anniversary celebrations, and bring the Festival Summer to the ZKM via small projections of the »Schlosslichtspiele« in the ZKM_Foyer. The highlights of »Punto y Raya Festival« – scheduled as guest at the ZKM in 2016 – will be shown in the ZKM_Lecture Hall.
 
In atria 1 + 2, large-format projections and sound worlds by Japanese composer and artist Ryoji Ikeda allow visitors to immerse themselves in the world of data. With the exhibition »micro | macro«, the artist penetrates the infospheres like a hacker, and makes visible the concealed codes. And our little guests will find it no less exciting: in addition to the museum rally and the »GLOBALE Cartoon_Laboratory«, the interactive installation »Bubbles« can also be explored at the ZKM_Media Theater.
 
But GLOBALE is not only confined to the ZKM: In the ZKM_Cube, Stephan Mathieu invites guests to a live set and sound dome works by Gilles Gobeil, Hiromi Ishii und Wilfried Jentzsch will be presented from 7 pm at the ZKM_Cube. One of the highpoints, for both eyes and ears is the audiovisual performance by Chikashi Miyama at the ZKM_Forecourt. 
On the GLOBALE trail in Karlsruhe city center, visitors may join the guided tours »ART & WALK« as well »ART & BIKE«, either by foot or by bicycle. The guided tour »My City, my Sounds« joins the global spectrum of the evening.

300 Years of Karlsruhe –300 Years of Cultural History

From 6 pm onwards, the Karlsruhe Museum Night [KAMUNA] celebrates the city of culture with its outstanding collections and exhibitions. Under The slogan »Celebrating Together!« the Karlsruhe museums and institutes of culture host their very personal and varied programs. For all those interested in culture, a comprehensive and exciting program is offered with important permanent and special exhibitions, special guided tours and numerous events such as concerts, readings, performances and participatory actions. This all culminates in a very special final highlight: from 0.30 am New York jazz David Amram will be playing together in the Palace garden with a range of first-class jazz musicians from the region!
