ARD Radio Play Days 2015

The climax of this year’s »ARD Radio Play Days« will once again be »The Night of the Winners«. The »ARD German Radio Play Prize«, the »ARD PiNball for the Best Short Radio Play«, the »ARD Online Award« audience award and two prices for young people, the »Children’s Radio Play Prize« from the city of Karlsruhe and the »German Children’s Radio Play Prize«. As well as the winners and authors, directors and actors, other surprise guests have been invited. During the evening, Ute Soldierer and the French band Electro Deluxe will provide the musical backdrop.
 

German Radio Play Prize

This year, a total of 12 pieces are competing for the coveted €5,000 prize, in which the Österreichische Rundfunk (ORF) and Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF) have a stake for the first time this year together with ARD and DRadio. During the ARD Radio Play Days, the public can listen to the plays with the 5-piece jury and will have the opportunity to pose questions to the writers of the radio plays at the end. From October 27, 2015, the nominated radio plays can be listened to in advance at radio.ARD.de.
 

ARD Online Award

The public should also have its say: The €2,500 »ARD Online Award« will be awarded at the click of a mouse. All the radio plays of this category will be available to listen to and vote for online at radio.ARD.de between October 27 and November 14, 2015.
 

PiNball

Freelance radio play writers have the opportunity to submit their up-to-15-minute long plays, which have been produced outside the broadcasting authorities and have not yet been published. The five favorites will be available to listen to and download online from radio.ARD.de from October 21 before the festival and are being transmitted on SWR2 Tandem on October 13 and 20, 2015. The winner of this category will be presented with the green PiNball trophy during the Night of the Winners and their play will be transmitted in a radio program by ARD or Deutschlandradio after the festival with payment of royalties.
