What can art do in the face of war? How should or can artists work when confronted by the catastrophe of military conflict in their country? What kind of language would help them to describe reality and cope with trauma?
The theme evening at ZKM explores the question as to what extent artistic work can be a communicative tool against war.
Antiwarcoalition.art is an international platform of cultural workers against the war from Ukraine and other parts of the world. It is both an archive and a discussion forum which aims to collect, share, and disseminate artistic statements against military aggression and political oppression.
