Video Art

This video, based on the video sculptures The Goddesses by pezoldo (Friederike Pezold) from 1991, illustrates the challenges involved in restoring and conserving video art. At the same time, it highlights the strategies needed to preserve such works of art over the long term. This documentation, created as part of the exhibition The Story That Never Ends (April 5, 2025 - September 20, 2026), provides insight into the work of the restorers and the internal and external technicians at ZKM | Karlsruhe.
