The Oscar-winning film »Citizenfour« treats the question of surveillance. In January 2013, film-maker Laura Poitras received encoded emails from »Citizen Four«, providing her with evidence of covert mass-surveillance programs by various intelligence services. During the meeting in Hong Kong the identity of »Citizen Four« is revealed as Edward Snowden. Poitras records the politically explosive events connected to the young whistleblower with her camera.
