ARD Children's Radio Play Day 2019
Sun, November 10, 2019 10:00 am – 6:00 pm CET
- Location
- ZKM | Center for Art and Media
On children's radio play day, children of school age in particular should open their ears and eyes, join in and have fun!
From 10 am to 6 pm there is a manifold program for children, parents and all friends of children's radio plays. An absolute must-do is the live radio play: Michael Ende's story about the bowl and the spoon has a lot to laugh about, but also something to think about. Actors, musicians and a sound-maker do their best on the big stage in the HfG!
The Bärenbude is set up in the Media Theater. The cuddly bears Johannes and Stachel provide fun with their weird conversations. And in between they listen to the radio stories of a famous relative: the OHRENBÄR. It's hard to imagine ARD's children's radio offering without him, and of course he presents himself in top form. And not to forget: The singer-songwriter Johannes Stankowski is responsible for the musical magic of Bärenbuden.
Throughout the day, the latest and best children's radio plays from ARD and Deutschlandradio as well as the winning piece of the German Children's Radio Play Prize 2019 can be heard. The children's jury of the Children's Radio Play Prize of the City of Karlsruhe will present the winning pieces and justify their decision. The podcast offers for children are also exciting. We present some current productions, such as the wild space adventures with the ISS Impala spaceship.
The SWR2 Spielraumtour invites you to a creepy excursion with eerie sounds. And in the hr2 listening island you can send your ears on a journey around the world. Children can speak a radio play themselves, install music and sounds in the ARD radio play box. Participation in the ZKM workshops in the media workshop and on the music balcony is also in demand.
Finally, two warnings. First: Guests must expect magic at all times! Georg the Magician is free – and unpredictable. Second: The ZKM is again seized by rally fever. The tasks revolve around the theme of the next ARD children's radio night (November 29): sports and games. And those who solve the puzzles can hope for great prizes.
