Felix Kubin describes himself as a Dadaist and his record label Gagarin Records as »Hamburg's sparkling reservoir for wanderlust enthusiasts, parabolic psycotronics and trend concept defiant dwarves«. The composer and media artist Felix Kubin (born 1969) recorded his first electronic pieces at the age of 12 with a 4–track device. His music is influenced by NDW groups like DAF, classical modern composers like Stockhausen and film music. Analog synthesizers and surrealistic–poetic texts are his trademarks. His radio play »Orphée Mécanique« (BR 2012) has been awarded the Radio Play of the Year 2012 as well as the International Radio Prize Premios Ondas 2013 and the German Audio Book Prize 2014. Kubin composes for film and radio and performs live worldwide.
