Welcome to MARS! (Mobilizing Awareness for Resilient Societies!) where we explore complex emotional terrain both on Earth and a future Mars. In Prototype II: Mental Health, we explore the challenges of loneliness, a universal issue that echoes across celestial boundaries.

Join experts and our citizen scientist "Red Dust Society" in this prototype workshop. How can institutions such as ZKM help foster meaningful connections? How do we personally experience loneliness and what strategies can we develop to counter its effects? How will Mars' hostile environment shape social bonds and feelings of isolation?

We also invite you to participate in a unique soft robotics experiment. Meet Booboo - a soft robot integrated into lives as a potential mood enhancer. Our 14-day artistic research study seeks to analyse soft robotics' impact on human emotions.

Come along, no spacesuits needed.

Meeting point: Music Balcony in Foyer, 1st floor above ZKM main entrance
