Frieder Hartung

Biography

Frieder Hartung is an initiator and consultant for future-oriented dialogues on communal development issues. He works as an urban development planner, process facilitator, and moderator.

He has a diploma in urban planning and an MSc in sustainable urbanism. He has also completed further training in dynamic facilitation, large group mediation, reconciliation of interests in public spaces, process support for municipal change processes, moderation of participation processes, e-participation, lateral leadership, concept creation, and systemic questioning. He participated in the IMPULSE Leadership Program 2020/2021 in the Stuttgart region.

He conducted research activities in Stuttgart, the state capital, on the transformation of urban spaces from 2018 to 2022 (research projects WECHSEL and TransZ). He is part of the Intersectoral School of Governance Baden-Württemberg (ISoG BW) team at the Center for Advanced Studies (CAS) of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. He was also involved in the Innovation Park for Artificial Intelligence Heilbronn (IPAI) project.

Hartung is also the co-spokesperson for the BW regional group of the Association for Urban, Regional, and State Planning (SRL e.V.).
