»Fridge People« have been devoted to fusion jazz for more than 20 years. Even in times when it was unpopular to play an electric and funky style, they got legs bobbing with their juicy grooves.

The band name has a tradition, and dates back to the days when practices took place at the parental home and no fridge was safe from plundering. Dirty blues lines, and angular, melodious themes characterise the compositions of keyboarders Gernot Ziegler and guitarist Sven Götz, who will be casting their spell over the audience with energy, wit, and the joy of playing. For the Jazzfestival 2017, as well as playing their own repertoire, the band will be reviving highlights of previous JazzClassix evenings of fusion music. Saxophonist Peter Lehel and bassist Christof Kaiser will be performing as guests.
