»Matchtape« is a fitting name, that the Stuttgart Hammond organist Martin Meixner has given his new trio. »Matchtape« means fuse or ignition tape, which is »Anzündband« in german and can become »ignition band« through literal translation. (It's a pun.)

The Band Trio consists of Martin Meixner, guitarist Jörg Teichert and drummer Christian Huber. The versatile trumpeter Joo Kraus will perform as a guest.

You can expect a hot mixture of hammond organ, guitar, drums and trumpet. The engine of the organ will be fired up with a combination of jazz and pop, cheeky melodies and earthy grooves.
