We offer action guided tours for the following themes:
-
Artaboo
Often, when talking about artworks, we tend to mostly just describe them and not go beyond what is already visible. In this action tour, alternative strategies are to be developed on how to convey an artwork - and this can get you quite into trouble with all the lateral thinking.
-
Artworks have opinions too
Works of art speak to us in several ways: through colors, materials, sounds, images, movement, or even smells and touch. Works of art are little personalities of their own that we encounter. What exactly do they say? What is on their minds? Do works of art also have an opinion? We engage in an empathetic encounter and slip into the problematic world of the artworks ourselves.
-
Creative writing
Exhibitions curate themes, select content and create knowledge in their own specific way. In this respect, they are intoxicating stimuli, as compilations of pieces and information. We want to use pen and paper to devote ourselves to these stimuli in this action tour format. Starting with an extensive tour through selected pieces, we will follow the stimuli through our own associations to create texts, which we will then present to each other in situations.
-
Headliner
Become a journalist and reporter and seek out the most exciting or most important headlines in the exhibitions, artwork and events at the ZKM! Working in small groups, brief news stories and video reports are filmed. This allows participants to learn about artistic content from a new perspective and to deal with everyday media form of a video journalism point of view.
-
quick & silent
One and a half hours of an action guided tour and that in silence? In a museum? Together, in a group?! How does it affect us when we embark on a discovery of art without a spoken word – and experience it together by writing? What would artworks say if they could talk? Do we experience ourselves and the works perhaps quite differently then? Quick: We do not have much time! A warm invitation to this action guided tour experiment. We are looking forward to all who join us in this endeavor.
-
Videoselfie
Pieces of artwork inhabit the museum with their lively, imposing, inspiring, comical and often obtrusive personalities. We want to get to know them by putting ourselves in their places – and then communicating them to others by introducing them in a very unusual way: with a video selfie.
-
With Pen and Paper
You are not only looking for information, but also inspiration? This action tour is an exhibition experience for everyone who likes to be creative themselves. The tour does not offer explanations, but suggestions and invites you to record your ideas, thoughts and discoveries with pen and paper. Word play, sketches or poetry - make visible what's on your mind!
You are welcome to bring your own sketchbooks to the tour.
-
Your Next Level
Computer games and video games are part of our everyday life and part of our culture – they entertain us, shape us and sometimes stimulate us to perceive our world differently. But what does it mean to develop a computer game? What elements are involved? What does »game design« mean and how does it work? In the action guided tour »Your Next Level« we not only get to know different games - we analyse the elementary basic building blocks of games and take the first steps of every game designer: We design and build our own game!
Action guided tour format in the context of the exhibition »zkm_gameplay. the next level«.
Particularly suitable from the 7th grade upwards.
