In his book »Walden; or, Life in the Woods« (1854), Henry David Thoreau described how he lived for two years in a log cabin in the woods to escape the industrialised mass society of the USA.
Today, the book is one of the classics of »escapist literature.« Thoreau sought to develop a lifestyle in harmony with nature. The game »Walden, a Game« makes Thoreau's experiences as a hermit in nature tangible. Players can immerse themselves in his world (of thought) and experience his philosophy.
