- Description
- A computer-controlled rotating light whose speed changes once an hour is mounted on the ZKM's tower. If visibility is good. the beam can be seen up to 25 km away. For 10 minutes each hour the light tower transmits meteorological data and nautical signals. On a display in the exhibition, one can follow the current working program of the light tower: the speed of rotation (rpm; revolutions per minute). i.e., the respective signal code.
