Compagnie Adrien M/Claire B (F): HAKANAÏ
A person is dancing in the middle of an animated matrix
Fri, November 14, 2014 8.30 pm CET, Performance
The choreographed solo performance shows a series of images in movement. The meaning »Hakanaï« in Japanese refers to something provisional and fragile, ephemeral and transitory and something – as is true in this case – situated between dream and reality. Whereas the concept generally relates to nature, today, it is frequently described as an intangible aspect of human existence and its invisibility.

The two decisive fundamental elements are, firstly, the human being itself and, secondly, the dream connected with the human being. This symbolic relationship forms the basis of this dance composition. The solo dancer fills the space between imagination and reality with life, solely through the interaction of emerging images. These images are on stage animations which move in physical patterns and are oriented on rhythms of live music. The result of the performance is the revelation of a digital installation to its public.

The installation can be walked through after the performance.
