International spatial sound conference
Wed, November 25, 2015 – Sat, November 28, 2015, Festival
The international conference »inSonic2015« offers a platform for composers, scientists, artists, and students to work with spatial audio, sound art, and multi-channel media applications. The main focus of the program is the theoretical and practical exploration of aesthetic concepts of spatial audio situated in the spectrum between music and sound art.

The program covers the latest techniques, such as wave field synthesis and high-order ambisonics, the potential of complex loudspeaker architectures, as well as unconventional and hybrid arrangements of multi-channel sound sources. Thus »inSonic2015« engages with different musical and artistic concepts, combining the academic concert space with workshops of sound artists, the laboratories of acousticians, the electronic studios of composers, and the rehearsal rooms of musicians using digital production methods. In the week before the conference, workshops, demonstrations, and tutorials invite visitors to explore the latest concepts and techniques.
