Which Radio Play is the best of the independent Radio Play scene? To find out, ARD together with Deutschlandradio, ORF and SRF organises an annual competition for independent radio play makers: the »ARD PiNball«.

Sometimes it's about an entire universe, sometimes about profane everyday life, sometimes about an acoustic experiment. Everything is possible! And that in a maximum of 20 minutes. The pieces that old hands and newcomers from the independent radio play scene submit to ARD PiNball must not be longer. From October 25, the jury's five favourites will be available for listening and downloading on the net at hoerspieltage.ARD.de, and they will be broadcast in SWR2 tandem.

The finalists and their radio plays will be presented at the festival on Friday, November 8, 2018 in a conversation with Alexandra Müller. But those who have won and are thus allowed to own 1,000 euros will only be revealed on Saturday when the prize is awarded as part of the »Night of the Winners«.
