Sublime Encoded

with Lívia Nolasco-Rózsás
Tue, February 05, 2019 6 pm CET, Workshop
How can programming languages a.k.a. code be turned to something beyond them? Just like painting or making music, writing code is a cultural technique, just a tool, which can be used to reach a certain quality of greatness. Programmers and artists have been using code for aesthetic experiments ever since computers are accessible, and with their overall presence the engagement with coding is constantly expanding. In her presentation Lívia Nolasco-Rózsás will contextualize the pieces of the »Open Codes. The Art of Coding« exhibition in a theoretical framework.
