Since its invention, the Internet has been considered a pioneer of democracy. Besides countless possibilities, there are also risks for the exercise of fundamental rights in Cyber Space. The panel discussion is based on a guided tour followed by key note lectures.

Automated decisions facilitate everyday life and are a guarantee of security. At the same time, they open up complex dangers for the exercise of fundamental rights guaranteed by the constitution. What do our fundamental rights mean in times of Cyber Space? What influences can and must have the law on social scoring, big data and data mining as well as predictive analytics and other AI phenomena?

In the discussion representatives of the Karlsruhe courts, legal and security experts and futurologists are taking part.
